Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish actress and model. Born on 11th November 1966. Alison Doody first made a feature film debut as a Bond actress in A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she appeared as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. She played Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan donavan was part of A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte was in Taffin (in 1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody was a model when the opportunity was offered by a hopeful photographer. Her career has since developed into commercial modeling. Doody strove to avoid glamour and nude roles, this was the principle she applied in her acting. After catching the eye of the director of casting for the upcoming James Bond movie, she participated of A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody was listed as one of 12 Promising New Actors of 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody is only 18 at the time she played Doody in the movie A Prayer to the Dying (1987), starring Mickey Rourke, is the youngest Bond girl to be seen. In 1987, Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she portrayed IRA members Siobhan Doovan. Doody was an actress in silent films in a 1987 film adaptation to The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream bride Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main role of Sapsorrow as well as John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. In the following film, she played her most memorable role to date in the film Taffin as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist Doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody played alongside Sean Connery in the film in the role of Indy's father. Doody co-starred in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British miniseries Selling Hitler, which was inspired by the publication fraud called The Hitler Diaries. When she moved to Hollywood Doody made her an international star. She was replaced by Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson role. She then played Flannery Sheen's girlfriend and his agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. Doody was off acting for more than 10 years, returned in 2003 to take on a tiny part on The Actors, a British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine was her character as a character at an awards ceremony. In 2004, Doody appeared with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version to King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), a pamphlet describing the Holocaust. In 2010, Doody was a character in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). The Clinic, a medical drama, aired on RTE. The Asphyx was the 2011 version of her film. Her first two seasons of Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. The show featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014. In November of 2018, she won the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award and received a Star on the Walk of Fame in Almeria.
