Amy Poehler
Amy Poehler was born September 16th, 1971. She is an American actor and comedian. After studying improv at Chicago's Second City and ImprovOlympic in the early 1990s, Poehler co-founded the improvisational-comedy troupe Upright Citizens Brigade. The group was formed in 1996 and relocated to New York City. Their show was featured on Comedy Central's sketch comedy series of half-hour in 1998. Poehler as well as other comedians is the creator of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
Poehler was part of the Saturday Night Live sketch-comedy cast in 2001. Since 2004, when she was anchor on Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update, to 2008 when she resigned from the show to take on the role of Leslie Knope on Parks and Recreation Poehler was an anchor on a regular basis.
